Top 10 Games of 2009 in GameYeeeah.com
With 2009 drawing to a close, we felt it was important to put our PS3 controller – and stop playing Modern Warfare 2 is brilliant multiplayer online – just enough time to reflect on the best games we played during the year. Although it's probably physically impossible to play all the games out, the titles we try, here are our top 10:
No. 10: Assassin's Creed II
Renaissance Italy is the star of Assassin's Creed II, ornate structures full of ledges, handrails, windows and bricks protruding. What better place could there be for a character who can climb anything with almost superhuman abilities?
The attention to detail and almost flawless game environments – as well as the ability to make friends with Leonardo da Vinci and use their knowledge of weapons and vehicles – making this world a great place to visit.
Details: PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, $ 59.99, rated Mature (blood, intense violence, sexual content, strong language).
No. 9: Fight Night Round 4
With its spectacular graphics and simple controls, is easily the best boxing game of last year, not even counting its grand prize: the ability for the final phase of the struggle between "Iron Mike" Tyson and Muhammad Ali in his prime. This is how boxing games should really be done.
Details: Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 platforms; $ 59.99; rated Teen (mild blood, letters mild, mild suggestive themes, language).
No. 8: Wolfenstein
With an excellent pedigree (the game was designed by the people who created the first shot at person), the Nazi shooter Wolfenstein takes the genre to a level last seen by BioShock ridiculously good.
The controls are flawless, the stunning graphics and fascinating history. Add to that a list of non-linear tasks and a multitude of nooks and crannies to explore, and you have the best hidden-driven World War II shooter of all time.
Details: PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, $ 59.99, rated Mature (blood and blood, intense violence, language).
No. 7: Wii Sports Resort

While not game-changer the original Wii Sports when he came along in 2006 with the console, Wii Sports Resort is a large collection of titles sports set in a picturesque tropical environment, offering something for everyone.
Of the 12 activities, our two favorites are archery and flying acrobatics. In shooting Arc, players hold the controllers like they would a real arc, pulling back the bowstring, separated his hands and then drop a button to shoot. At the air show you have the Wii Remote like a paper plane and tilt it to make the plane rises into the sky. Besides having the Wii MotionPlus dongle (an enhancer of sensitivity to certain to have bright future applications), which is included in the package, this is a resort that should be a destination for all Wii owners.
Details: Nintendo Wii platform, € 39.99; rated Everyone (cartoon violence).
No. 6: Batman: Arkham Asylum
Forget Batman. The maximum security prison in this game is going on is an important component, perhaps the asylum should have received top billing. After all, history is almost secondary: There are so many places to explore – including the air ducts sneakily hidden, secret passages and even hung gargoyles that Batman can swing. Besides the snappy design level and grappling giant, man-bat must also use the "CSI"-style investigative techniques to discover tracks, added a nice wrinkle.
Details: PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, $ 59.99, Rated Teen (alcohol and tobacco reference, blood, language moderate, suggestive themes, violence).
No. 5: Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars
Sure, most of the gameplay involves the purchase and sale of drugs, not the most moral or legal activities. And yes, it is a title of Grand Theft Auto, which means large amounts of violence, profanity and adult situations, unsuitable for children.
But even if he was released for the Nintendo DS, the premier game system for children, something that simply can not be ignored: Chinatown Wars is the most technically sound DS game to date.
With a wide selection of music, a wide open map with no time loading, actual spoken voices, great multiplayer modes and perfect use of the DS touch screen (to steal a car requires manual dexterity!), this is the game that shows us what is possible on the DS.
Details: Nintendo DS and PSP platforms, $ 29 – $ 34.99; rated Mature (blood and gore, drug references, sexual content, strong language, violence).
No. 4: Boom Blox Party Bash
After the first Boom Blox caught us by surprise in 2008, used to show us all knew why I had to buy a Wii to play. This year came the sequel, Boom Blox Party Bash, and we were all connected again.
The game was bright, colorful visual, spot on perfect controls and simple, but fun fun. Some of the improvements include a sound franchise has the co-op mode (team with a friend to drop blocks) and a better level editor (which allows you to download new levels created by the designers of the game, as well as fans).
Details: Nintendo Platform Wii, $ 39.99, rated Everyone (cartoon violence).
No. 3: Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time
The last portion of PlayStation platform signature does not disappoint. It's something perfectly packages for players of all ages in a well written and acted story with memorable characters that moving on bright, colorful planets through a vast galaxy.
The action and variety (interstellar worlds to explore or engage the enemy in "Star Wars" space battles of the type) as well as the technical superiority of title (there should be no loading screens, like in other games?) Are a must-have for PS3 owners who like platform-style games. And really, who does not like them?
Until then, Ratchet & Clank. You will definitely be lost.
Details: PlayStation 3 platform, $ 59.99, rated Everyone 10 + (animated blood, badly designed, fantasy violence).
No. 2: Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
http://www.gameyeeeah.com/uncharted-among-thieves-ps3-p-1700.html
This game not only to blur the line between video games and movies, hit it. Indeed, it may be the best movie you've ever played. Intense action, graphics realistic and seamless cut screens help tell the story of Nathan Drake as he searches for the lost treasure of Marco Polo.
From the moment Uncharted 2 begins, rocking with Drake destroyed a train along the edge of a cliff covered in snow, we realized we were in for something special. She did not disappoint us.
Uncharted 2 What did was show us that with a story well-planned – in addition to a snappy script and a great voice acting – it is possible that game to be a better movie than most movies. With the advancement of technology and Santa Monica-based developers such as Naughty Dog continue making titles such as this, Hollywood should be worried.
Details: PlayStation 3 platform, € 39.99; rated Teen (blood, language, suggestive themes, violence).
No. 1: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Rivals story of a good Tom Clancy novel, with twists and turns and "what the hell was that?" surprises. Some of the events of the single-player campaign is chilling and disturbing but always fascinating. Improvements well designed multi-player remains dominant in the series of online games. The gameplay is nothing short of brilliant in any one of the titles in three ways: the player online co-op and single. The graphics are exceptional. . . .
Yes, Modern Warfare 2 is just that good.
This trip will certainly be long remembered, not only for the shocking massacre that makes the Russians invade American soil, is a culmination of a lot of great ideas and insights about how a war game should be truly captivating.
Now, if you'll excuse us, we have a long way to go until we coveted level of prestige, badge next to our name. And we can not wait to get it.
Details: PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, $ 59.99, rated Mature (blood, drug reference, intense violence, language).
